• Result of the Nuremburg trials were judges set guidelines on research 

1. voluntary concent  
   
2. The experiment should yield favorable results, not unnecessary or pointless procedures
3. Experiments should be based on results of animals experiments   
4. Avoid all unnecessary physical and mental injury
5. Can't conduct if there is a reason to believe that injury or death may occur 
6. Risk should not be greater than the importance of the problem
7. Proper preparations and adequate facilities  
8. Experiments should be conducted only by qualified scientific persons 
9. Subject can end experiments any time they wish
10. Scientist should be prepared to end experiments at any stage(if injury is imminent)
