Unethical Nazis

Rise of the Nazis

Picture
The Nazi revolution began in 1929 in response to the Treaty of Versailles at the end of WWI as well to the stock market crash. This led to the rise of the National Socialists Party (Nazis) bringing an end to the republic which was in place from 1933 through 1939. This led to the rise of Adolf Hitler as the leader of the National Socialists ,or the Nazis, and led to a "totalitarian police state" with their main focus being the complete persecution and extermination of the Jewish race, but not just in Germany, but in all of Europe. Nearly six million Jewish people died in Hitler's extermination camps. Hitler did not only exterminate Jews though. Many others died by Hitler's hand such as the mentally handicapped, homosexuals, Jehovah's Witnesses, and priests belonging to other religions other than his own. They died by the hundreds of thousands. This mass extermination of people is most commonly referred to as the Holocaust. This did not go unnoticed. The rest of the world noticed that Germany was going against the Treaty of Versailles, but they decided to do nothing about it which led to the accumulating of weapons and started the production of war time materials. Germany then aligned themselves with Japan and Italy which was referred to as the axis powers. The world's negligence and unwillingness to do anything about Germany led to WWII with the invasion of Poland in 1939, but ultimately Germany and the Axis Powers were defeated by the Allied Forces in 1945. By the end of WWII over 60 million people had died. The Nazis believed in the Aryan race (blonde hair blue eyed people) and believed in creating the perfect race.  This type of thinking led to the majority of unethical medical practices and experiments that the Nazi doctors performed on their innocent prisoners.
